Harry LeRoy Butler, son of William, was born on July 8, 1890 at Ravenna, Nebraska. He died at the age of thirty-one years and twenty-five days on August 4, 1921 at Omaha, Nebraska. He was buried on August 6, 1921 in Highland Park Cemetery at Ravenna, Nebraska. However, on November 9, 1937, his remains were removed to the Kearney City Cemetery at Kearney, Nebraska. Harry was a farmer by trade. After selling his farm in 1918, he ran a gasoline station in Ravenna, Nebraska for a short period of time. Harry attended the Union Ridge School near Ravenna. Harry was a member of the Odd Fellows. He was a member of the Congregationalist Church.

Harry's World War I draft registration card, which was dated June 5, 1918, tells us that Harry was a self-employed farmer in Garfield Township, Buffalo County, Nebraska. He is described as being tall and of stout build. He had brown eyes and dark brown hair. He was twenty-seven at the time of his registration.

Harry married on April 7, 1915 at Grand Island, Nebraska to Celia Jane Gleason, daughter of Harvey Brooks Gleason and Grace Curtis. Witnesses to their marriage were Florence Butler and Mrs. R.A. Butler.

On February 23, 1921, Celia filed for a divorce from Harry on the grounds of cruelty. Her petition stated:

"That the defendant has been guilty of extreme cruelty toward the plaintiff on numerous occasions and at numerous times: that defendant was constantly quarreling with the plaintiff; that defendant made frequent threats to beat and strike the plaintiff, and on such occasions would draw back his fist in a threatening manner; that frequently during the quarrels and at numerous times he would apply vile and abusive epithets toward the plaintiff; that he was constantly jawing at and provoking the plaintiff; that on numerous occasions he would tell the plaintiff to leave their home, and that on or about the 20th day of August 1920, he ordered the plaintiff to leave their home, and she left her home and came to the home of her parents in Omaha, Nebraska."
The divorce was finalized on June 1, 1921. Celia was given custody of their daughter, Bertha Genevieve and $24.00 per month for support.

Celia was born on August 9, 1898. The place of her birth is presently unknown. However, there are indications that it might have been at or near Lawton, Oklahoma. She died on July 15, 1936 at Omaha, Nebraska. She was buried in West Lawn Cemetery at Omaha, Nebraska on July 16, 1936.
